Active Hospital Event

Please come along to our next FREE event!

Healthwatch Hartlepool are delighted to secure Michael Butler as a key speaker at our next event. Michael is North Tees & Hartlepool Hospital Trust’s Head of Women’s Health, Outpatients & Place-based Care & the Healthy Lives Care Group. Do you want to hear about ‘Long’ Covid and what can aid recovery too? We have much to offer and would love to see you.

World Mental Health Day 2021

World Mental Health Day (WMHD), October 10th, 2021, is an international day for global mental health, education, awareness and advocacy against social stigma. First celebrated in 1992, WMHD is supported by more than 150 countries, with this year’s theme being Mental Health in an Unequal World.

This year we are once again having a shop unit in Middleton Grange Centre from the 2nd of October. This will be used to display information and posters about mental health services in one window, and the other window will display Artwork.

Pupils from St Teresa’s primary school have been working on a project to make paintings that express their feelings about how their mental health is affected by the community where they live. A selection of these will be in the shop window and prizes awarded to the winning entries. Hartlepool Radio will be making daily broadcasts from the 4th October, with people from various agencies speaking about their experiences in working with people affected by the covid pandemic and what services there are in the community to support people (Mental Health Forum, Covid champion, social prescribers, Hospice Holistic Wellbeing, Healthwatch Hartlepool, and Community Counts - about small groups working in the field of mental health).
